Mr.Madhu Kapoor graduated in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering at Bangalore in the year 1971.

After a brief career in the Steel Industry, he got involved in the Apparel Industry, which was subsequently to become his lifetime objective.

The Apparel Industry of the 70's in India was in its infancy and provided a great opportunity to introduce new products with the state-of-art technologies from Japan, Germany, USA etc.,

After advanced training at Japan, Germany and The United States, which were the most developed countries, using high technology in the Apparel Industry, Mr.Madhu Kapoor started imparting relevant technology to The Indian Industry in the form of nation wide Exhibitions, Seminars and Workshops which were conducted in major cities of India. Such was the enthusiasm and interest generated in the industry, that very soon a lot of entrepreneurs came to realize that the Apparel Industry had a sparkling future and offered the greatest opportunity for both the Domestic and International markets.

The Company APPAREL & LEATHER TECHNICS PVT. LTD, popularly known as ALT, became well established in India having opened Branches at Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Kolkatta, Coimbatore, Chennai, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Ludhiana, Mumbai, New Delhi, Pune, Tirupur, Indore etc., and representing the world leaders in equipment like VERTEX, from UK, EASTMAN from USA, BROTHER from JAPAN, SWANTEX from CHINA, ARDMEL from UK, CORNELLY from BELGIUM, BOWE from GERMANY, GUTOS from GERMANY, BUFA from GERMANY etc.

This high profile equipment started generating in India an opportunity for employment of Operators, Supervisiors, Designers, Production Managers etc., To cater to this very important requirements, the ALT Training College, a charitable trust and the corporate social responsibilty, was established in year 1991, with the objective of providing training to those aspiring to make careers in the apparel industry especially the weaker section society with suitable placement, so that they could lead meaningful lives. Equipped with the state-of-art equipment and patronized by elite faculty from all over the world, giving students an opportunity to be well educated and compete both in the domestic and international markets. Today the Apparel Industry is the largest Foreign Exchange earner for the country and also the largest employer for the nation. 

In recognition of the pioneering efforts of Mr.Madhu Kapoor to introduce productivity and technology into the Indian Apparel Industry, he has been conferred with the following National & International Awards

MRS.RENU KAPOOR, IS A SCIENCE GRADUATE FROM THE CHENNAI UNIVERSITY IN THE YEAR 1974.

DUE TO HER OUR STANDING PERFORMANCE SHE WAS SELECTED BY THE STATE BANK OF PATIALA AND SERVED FOR A PERIOD OF 5 YEARS.

THERE AFTER SHE JOINED APPAREL & LEATHER TECHNICS PVT LTD AS ITS FINANCE DIRECTOR, WHICH POSITION SHE RETAINS TILL DATE.

IN HER PRESENT OCCUPATION AS DIRECTOR FINANCE IN THE ALT GROUP, SHE IS EXPOSED TO NOT ONLY HANDLING DAY TO DAY FINANCE OF ITS 20 NATION WIDE BRANCHES, BUT ALSO THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF FOREIGN EXCHANGE MANAGEMENT.

AS HER CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY SHE IS THE TRUSTEE OF ALT TRAINING COLLEGE FOUNDATION, A REGISTERED CHARITABLE TRUST, WHICH HAS THE OBJECTIVE OF GIVING TRAINING TO THE LOWEST SECTION OF SOCIETY LIKE DESTITUTE WOMEN, WAR WIDOWS, INJURED SOLDIERS, PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED AND THOSE FROM THE WEAKER SECTION OF SOCIETY ESPECIALLY WOMEN AND OFFER THEM MEANING FULL EMPLOYMENT. SINCE ITS INCEPTION, THE ALT TRAINING COLLEGE FOUNDATION HAS TRAINED AND PLACED 512,000 CANDIDATES WHO ARE OCCUPYING PREMIUM POSITIONS BOTH IN THE DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL APPAREL, KNIT WEAR AND LEATHER AND HEAVY GOODS INDUSTRIES.

THE ALT TRAINING COLLEGE FOUNDATION IS ALSO PLANNING TO ADD TO ITS EXISTING COURSES OF APPAREL FASHION AND PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT, COURSES OF HOSPITALITY AND RETAIL MANAGEMENT, WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF TRAINING AND PROVIDING MEANINGFUL EMPLOYMENT TO OVER 100,000 STUDENTS EVERY YEAR.

Mrs. Aarti Paruthi is a post graduate from Manipal Universty and completed her M.Sc. in Fashion Technology, specializing her MBA in Human Resources and Finance.

Being a topper in the Apparel Engineering studies, she recieved a scholarship form The French Company 'Lectra' to specialize in CAD, after which she continued her internship to gain on the shop floor work experience in the premium company 'Lerose' in Burmingham, UK.

She joined Apparel & Leather Technics Pvt. Ltd., in the year 1998. Initially her career took off as a merchandiser at the state of art manufacturing unit of ALT, producing top quality men's dress shirts. Thereafter she was appointed as a Director of ALT which position she holds till date.

As its corporate social responsibilty she has been appointed as the trustee of ALT Training College foundation.

ALT Trainng college is the corporate social responsibilty of the parent company ALT and is a charitable trust and the objective of the college is to impart training to the weakest section of the society and give them an opportunity to acquire vocational skills and there by seek meaningful employment in India and all over the world. The ALT Training College with its head quarters at Bangalore has opened new training colleges at Tirupur, Ahmedabad, Surat, Tronica City, Kanpur and has the long term objective of setting up a training college in every state of India.

Mrs. Aarti has been instrumental in developing course curriculum to match international standards so that our students are able to compete internationally and seek premium positions in the industry.
